South Orange, NJ- All-Ameican Myles Powell appeared to roll his ankle driving to the basket for a layup early in the first half as the Pirates hosted the Stony Brook SeaWolves in a non-conference game on Saturday afternoon. Powell immeadiately called for a substitute and visibly frustrated, walked to the Seton Hall locker room with the head trainer.

He was seen by press row emerging from the trainer’s room but was announced out for the game by the Seton Hall sports information department. His status moving forward is unclear and I wouldn’t expect the Pirates to make an announcement about it any time soon. The Pirates host Michigan State at the Prudential Center on Thursday. More to come as the story develops….
