Weeks after Kevin Willard told reporters that Myles Carter needed to “rededicate” himself to the classroom, the sophomore was dismissed by the team per a press release on Friday. The press release stated:
“Being a student-athlete here at Seton Hall is a privilege that comes with responsibilities, and unfortunately Myles was unable to meet those standards,” Willard said. “We wish Myles well and hope for all the best for him.”
Carter played the second least minutes off the bench for the Pirates this season and was suspended for their game against Columbia on December 7th due to academic reasons. His dismissal along with Veer Singh’s transfer opens up two spots on the Pirates roster. Look for Willard to fill those spots with transfer players.
The Pirates will play Rutgers on Friday in front of a sold out Prudential Center crowd. College Hoops Digest will be on press row for the game.
